Shevet Hamam & Spa - Jaffa
This project involved the interior design and expansion of Sheva Spa in Jaffa, creating a seamless connection between a historic structure and newly developed spaces that underwent a complete transformation to become an integral part of the spa experience.
The primary challenge was to blur the boundary between old and new, creating the feeling of a single authentic environment. While portions of the project were not part of the original historic structure, extensive stonework, custom wall finishes, architectural details, and stone arches were carefully crafted to create the impression that the entire complex had evolved naturally over decades, or even centuries.
The design language is rooted in natural materials and rich textures. Hand-carved stone trough sinks, textured walls, traditional architectural elements, and carefully orchestrated light and shadow create a layered spatial experience that strengthens the connection to the historic character of Jaffa.
A key focus of the project was the creation of a multi-sensory experience. Soft lighting, natural materials, and intimate spaces allow visitors to disconnect from the surrounding city and enter a calm, relaxing, and immersive environment dedicated to wellness and renewal.
This was a highly complex project from a planning, engineering, and execution perspective, where every detail was carefully designed to create an authentic, refined, and memorable spa experience.
